The Healing Faerie periodically totally restores pet's health, as one of the many things she does. Of course, usually our pets are not sick, and we don't notice the cure, only the hit points. You can go back to healing springs about once an hour.

"But", you say," I want my pet well NOW!"

Well, if the cure is inexpensive enough, then go pick one up, of course! But if the cure costs more than you want to spend, then hang in there and try the healing springs once an hour. Some of the rarer medicines now run over 50,000 nps each, so sometimes healing springs is the way to go. As another possibility, Yellow Healthshrooms do indeed cure all ills, but they are retired, so their price continues to rise.
